Capital Music Week (CxMW), led by the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC) in collaboration with dozens of partners, is Ottawa’s premier music industry event, serving as a platform to amplify the city’s musical talent and promote industry growth. From May 20 – 25, 2025, join free and ticketed activities including concerts, workshops, an awards gala, and professional development activities, fostering collaboration between artists, entrepreneurs, and fans. The inaugural week-long celebration of Ottawa’s music scene includes headline performers, the Capital Music Awards, local talent showcases, a fireside chat hosted by CBC Q’s Tom Power, and a first-of-its-kind national summit on nightlife economies.

Meet Byron at Sound x Summit event during Capital Music Week

Edwards Creative Law’s entertainment lawyer Byron Pascoe will host a session called “Creating Contracts and Deal Terms 101” on Saturday, May 24 at 10:30am at Bayview Yards, during the Sound x Summit event of Capital Music Week.
