CION (Cultural Industries Ontario North) is hosting the first edition of the Music Business Circle. This initiative aims to assist musicians from Northern Ontario with networking opportunities.
Through one-on-one virtual mentorships with industry experts (including ECL partner Byron Pascoe), regional artists will have the opportunity to learn about music funding, performance booking, public relations, touring, and how to access their hard-earned royalties.
The program runs from November 28th-December 9th, 2022 – applications will be accepted until Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
The mentorships will be six 30-minute-long virtual sessions, where musicians can sign up with corresponding times that work for both parties. Selected artists will be contacted to confirm acceptance and to schedule sessions.
The program is designed to help export-ready mentees form an interdisciplinary perspective that allows them to navigate the industry better and develop more robust artist packages. Source: Cionorth.ca
