Event Details

Tuesday, November 15, 2022 to Wednesday, November 16, 2022

This virtual event will serve as a conference and marketplace focused on accelerating the Canadian independent film industry. Over two days, it will foster new business partnerships, ignite future film projects, and provide a critically needed platform for conversations about the future of Canadian independent cinema on the global stage.

In addition to keynotes, topical panel discussions and relevant case studies, delegates will have access to exclusive virtual meeting opportunities offering a direct line to distributors, studios, streamers, agents, investors, funders and media companies from Canada and around the world.

The 2022 Playback Film Summit will be hosted on our bespoke virtual platform, which has been hailed as the entertainment industry’s best online meeting and content environment. This includes our vibrant virtual Delegate Lounge – a communal space where individuals can connect for special curated events and serendipitous networking. Every delegate will also have access to the Project Lounge to upload or view scripts, trailers, development materials and full-length features and shorts, as well as their own customized, private video-conferencing room. Integrated chat, messaging and scheduling tools make the virtual meeting or pitching experience easy.
