FOFS is a not-for-profit media arts organization. They present an annual showcase of Canadian short films, as well as year-round professional development events. FOFS provides emerging filmmakers with a platform that celebrates their art alongside an audience as unique as they are.
FOFS believe in fostering the future of Canadian film and making it a more accessible experience for all. Join us this spring, May 18th – 21st, 2023 for the 10th Annual Festival!

Meet Burt & Michael at the FOFS Festival
Join the Future of Film Showcase as they kick off the 2023 Festival, fostering the future of emerging Canadian filmmakers. They’re proud to present our 2023 Official Selection of narrative, nonfiction and experimental short films.
Come celebrate short films created by Canadian emerging filmmakers across Canada. Q&A discussion will follow the screenings at the Scotiabank Theatre in Toronto. This event will have ASL Interpretation and open captioning.
