Creating The Music Doc: Rights, Clearances & Creativity

Sponsored by Edwards Creative Law, this panel explores critical factors such as music rights, sync licensing, and securing artist permissions when creating a music documentary. We’ll dive into obtaining archival footage, understanding fair use, and managing venue clearances for performances. Filmmakers must also balance factual storytelling with creative freedom while considering royalties and revenue sharing.
